BUFFALO, NEW YORK — Restonic CEO and bedding veteran, Ron Passaglia, is set to retire from the company next month. He’ll continue with Restonic as a resource to support the company through the transition period as another president is hired and in place.
Passaglia joined Restonic in 2008 and focused his tenure on creating a united vision for licensees and building the Restonic brand across emerging channels in North America and internationally. From leading new and innovative digital platforms for both consumers and retailers to championing research on the evolving retail landscape to constantly pivoting as needs of licensees, retailers and consumers shifted, he has strived to provide a competitive advantage for Restonic in the marketplace.
“We have been fortunate to have Ron as Restonic’s Corporate President and under his leadership, the brand has grown – Restonic is today a resource for many major retailers,” said Robert Sherman, president of Visionary Sleep, Restonic’s largest licensee. “He has brought years of knowledge and experience in the mattress industry and the other licensees and I are very pleased that Ron has agreed to consult during 2021. Restonic is planning a year of significant growth!”
Passaglia entered the bedding industry via the retail floor sales at Levitz’s Furniture in 1971, rising through the ranks from territory sales posts to a top executive position at Simmons, Verlo Mattress, Selther USA and Restonic. He also served on the Better Sleep Council and ISPA as board member and chair of both organizations. In 2000, ISPA presented Passaglia with the Robert MacMorran Memorial Award for his dedication and service to the bedding industry.
Passaglia is looking forward to new outdoor adventures and spending more time with his wife, Victoria, and their family.
