Import Brand Zinus to Establish U.S. Manufacturing

Zinus USA, a subsidiary of home furnishings manufacturer Zinus Inc., is opening its first manufacturing plant in the United States. The company has global headquarters in Seoul, South Korea, principle manufacturing in Xiamen, China, and U.S. headquarters in Tracy, California.

The new facility in McDonough, Georgia, will open in the first half of 2021 . Zinus is investing $108 million to convert a former Toys R Us warehouse and will create more than 800 jobs in Henry County, according to a news release from the Georgia Department of Economic Development.

“I know this international company with a strong worldwide reach will feel right at home in Henry County,” said Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. “Georgia greatly appreciates their investment and I’m confident that, thanks to our unmatched logistics network and pro-business environment, their business will find new opportunities to succeed as they begin operations in McDonough.”

Zinus operates several distribution centers across the United States. The brand does significant business in promotionally priced beds at e-commerce players Amazon and Wayfair, and at big box stores Costco and Walmart.

“As we continue to grow into new markets and expand our own vertical integration capabilities, establishing our first-ever production center in the U.S. is a critical step in our evolution as a global business,” said Keith Reynolds, Zinus U.S.A. president.
