Industry supplier Standard Fiber LLC, which has operational headquarters in Burlingame, California, has hired veteran ticking executive Brandon Wells as executive vice president and general manager of its mattress division.
The division specializes in flat goods, as well as sewn covers and other textile components for the global bedding industry.
According to a news release from the company, it “combines U.S.-based product design, customer service and technology with the cost benefits and manufacturing capabilities that are best achieved throughout Asia.” It has offices and staff in China, India, Pakistan, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Wells reports to Sandy Gray, Standard Fiber chief executive officer.
Previously, Wells was with BekaertDeslee USA and the former Bekaert Textiles, rising through the ranks to become president and general manager. Prior to that, he was territory sales manager in the ticking division of the former Burlington Industries.
“We’re excited to have Brandon join us, leading our growing mattress channel team,” Gray said. “He brings over two decades of experience and relationships in the mattress industry to further accelerate the dynamic growth we’ve experienced with mattress manufacturers in the past few years.”

Standard Fiber is a 20-year-old, privately held international trading company with legal registration and a warehouse in Las Vegas. The company has relationships with more than 100 textile mills — mostly in China, but also in Brazil, India, Indonesia, Pakistan and Vietnam — where the home textiles and sewn products it sells are manufactured under contract.
Standard Fiber Home Textiles Co. Ltd., based in Shanghai, is owned by Standard Fiber LLC and manages the company’s China operations.
