At ISPA EXPO 2018 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Latexco booth featured this colorful display of its diverse product assortment that includes both polyurethane and latex support and comfort foams.

Latexco U.S. Holdings plans to relocate its Western U.S. production and distribution facility from Santa Fe Springs, California, to Phoenix, in the first quarter of 2019, according to a news release from the Lavonia, Georgia-based company. The new 100,000-square-foot plant, which is twice the size of the previous one, will accommodate the company’s strong growth.

The complex is slated to produce Latexco’s complete polyurethane foam and latex foam product lines. The expansive site will include a state-of-the-art mattress and topper fabrication line, as well as enhanced fulfillment capabilities designed to fulfill customers’ growing service needs, the company said.

“Our expansion plans completed over the last year and continuing into the next represent an investment of $12 million to meet both the needs of our valued customers and the demand and opportunities we see on the horizon in our business segments,” said Ben Ducatteeuw, Latexco U.S. chief executive officer. “(Our) Phoenix facility will increase and improve PU foam and latex production and offer fully automated mattress assembly.”

Jim Gutierrez, the general manager of Latexco’s western operation, added, “We guarantee our customers that during this transition period production will continue to run smoothly and that we will gradually transform the new building into a one-stop shop.”

The move to Phoenix follows a completed expansion in Georgia where Latexco doubled its facility square footage and tripled its production capacity. These investments include the installation of a Pulse latex production line, which uses the company’s energy-saving, patented SonoCore pouring process for high-quality latex foam.

The company said it also continues to invest in process automation at both sites.

Latexco U.S. is a part of privately held Latexco Group, with headquarters in Tielt, Belgium.
